Make it Count

The thing about gaining wisdom is that you may feel compelled to share it with others. I found myself doing this today in the car with my daughter. We talked about attitude and how even when we face adversity we can strive to be positive and have hope that we will overcome.

What I was saying sounded great at the time but a few hours later my own attitude shifted. My own words came back to me that I shared with my daughter and I had to chuckle because I was not taking my own advice. So, I shared this with her and she laughed as well. It was an opportunity for us to bond and for me to show her that I’m not asking for perfection because I cannot meet that standard myself.

Life is a journey. If we are open to it, we can learn some things along the way. If we share some of these lessons with others we might just leave them better off than we are and they may pay it forward. Each one teach one right:-)

We don’t need to be perfect. We need to strive to be better. Failure is inevitable, mistakes do happen. It’s what we do on the other side of them that counts. Make it count. Don’t let it all be in vain.
